The Greatest Gift…

Christmas! When you hear Christmas it’s hard not to think about giving and receiving gifts. What a feeling to receive a gift from someone you care about or to give a gift to someone you care about. There is something special that happens in those moments. Have you ever received a gift that really caught you by surprise, a gift so big it was almost like a wish or a dream? Well, I can assure you that you have. The greatest gift of all was given to us in the form of a baby and his name is Jesus. This wonderful gift from God is his only child given to this world (to us) as a demonstration of God’s love for us. Yes, he cared and loved us so much that he didn’t want us to be alone in this world with all it’s afflictions. Jesus was given to us as our redeemer, our healer, our Savior. He died on the cross for us to be able to have true life. God gave us the Gift of true eternal life through Jesus. Our greatest gift is also a gift that never stops giving. It doesn’t end at the cross. Jesus continues to be the living water, everyday that we wake and take a breath is Jesus giving himself all over again for you. Everytime there’s darkness lurking, everytime there’s sadness creeps in, when difficulties arise, there is Jesus to give all that He is so that you can accomplish what God has intended for your life. Christmas is a beautiful time, a time for celebration and love. Let’s celebrate this Christmas that we have indeed received a gift like no other and God has given it to us and with this great gift comes a great responsibility that we too should share this gift with those who have forgotten or do not even know that there is gift to be claimed and it has their names written on it.

Merry Christmas! Jesus Loves you!

Ephesians 2:8
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
